All of the GoFamz editorial staff tends to be a bit hyperactive, somewhat adrenaline addicted, and has a zest for being outdoors. We also work hard at home and at work. So like most people, we often neglect one of the most crucial components of health and fitness… REST!

Whether you call it a ‘stop day’, ‘rest day’, or ‘Sabbath’, getting regular, weekly rest is vital for:

  • Repairing and strengthening at the cellular level
  • Replenishing energy
  • Refreshing of mind and emotions
  • Preventing burnout

Resolve to spend one day a week away from work and activity. Nap. Read. Watch a movie. You’ll be amazed by how much better you feel, the amount of energy you have, and your improved mental capacity and emotional well-being.
